We now have suspected cases of Swine Flu (H1N1) at Caius. 

For your own comfort and peace of mind, please make sure you have carried out the following precautionary measures.  For more information, visit the College Web Site.

• Obtain a personal flu pack (thermometer, over-counter 'flu relief medication, tissues)
• Equip yourself with basic food supplies and bottled water
• Enter your mobile phone number into CamSIS
  
• Identify two flu-friends (flu parents for freshers) and enter their details into CamSIS

If you have flu-like symptoms or are concerned:

• STAY IN YOUR ROOM
• check your symptoms at www.pandemicflu.direct.gov.uk
• or by phone via the Info Line on 0800 1513 513
• Get your flu friend to collect medication or provisions

Note: If you are severely unwell with symptoms that are NOT flu-like:

• Contact your own GP
• or Camdoc out of hours on: 01233 464242
• or NHSDirect on 0845 4647

Contact your GP if you notice any of the following, which may be early signs of meningitis:

• increasing temperature
• intensifying headaches
• chest pain
• shortness of breath
• confusion or drowsiness

Inform the Porters:

• on 01223 332400 (Old Courts)
• on 01223 335400 (Harvey Court)

The Porters will supply you a flu pack via your flu friend if you do not have one available.  They will inform  others, including your Tutor and the College Nurse.

Do NOT come to the College Nurse's Clinic - you will be contacted by 'phone and visited if necessary.
