Writing a First Class Tripos Essay
Writing a First-Class Tripos Essay - Two Hands-on Workshops 
Caius Tutors and Directors of Studies are pleased to announce two Workshops on Essay Writing, with special emphasis on 'getting it right' for Tripos.  These will be held in the Cavonius Centre, West Road Cambridge, and will each last about 90 minutes.

'Quiet room' facilities for study/revision during the exam period
Two 'quiet rooms' are being made available in Harvey Court to augment the College Library for revision purposes during the Exam period.   The Cavonius Centre will normally be available for revision or quiet work during the day, and may booked during the evenings for this purpose.

The Donald Robertson Travel Fund invites applications for travel grants from undergraduates due to graduate in 2013 or later.  The Fund exists for the purpose of assisting those wish to take strenuous open-air holidays either at home or abroad.

Undergraduate Awards 2012 International Programme
The Undergraduate Awards 2012 International Programme rewards innovation, independent thinking and creativity in undergraduates' coursework.  Under the programme, which is open to undergraduates in their final or penultimate year, students submit coursework that has achieved a high B/2.1 grade or higher to one of several categories.Winners will come together in Dublin with other winners from the Irish Programme for three days of activities, the focus point of which will be an awards ceremony with the President of Ireland in attendance.

The Tutors have at their disposal funds for support of students who have well thought-out plans to travel abroad during the Long Vacation. These are available under the Tutors' Travel Grant scheme. Other grants may be available for study trips, medical research, or projects with wildlife.

The Newton Trust Student Community Volunteering Fund invites applications from student societies for grants up to £500. The programme aims to benefit the personal and career development of the student volunteers, the community in which the students are volunteering and the University and Colleges, with a preference for UK-based volunteering opportunities.   Deadline is Weds 18 May 2011 at 5pm.

The registration deadline for the Mondialogo Engineering Award 2008/2009 has been extended to 31 December 2008. Cavonius Centre - new arrangements
Agreement has been reached with HM Revenue and Customs over use of certain parts of the Stephen Hawking Building.  This will allow a relaxation of some of the restrictions applying to the use of the Cavonius Room
