Main Entrance

The main entrance to Caius is in Trinity Street, Cambridge, in the historic town centre. It is shown on the University Map opposite red no.16 (Cambridge University Press bookshop).
All visitors should report initially to the Porters' Lodge, which is staffed 24 hours a day; the telephone number is 01223 332400.

Cambridge City Centre (view scrollable map) is a tightly controlled pedestrian area between 1000 and 1600 hours. During these times it is not possible to drive along Trinity Street; the nearest "dropping off" point is along King's Parade, outside the Senate House.

Arriving by Car

From the M11 leave at either Junction 11 for the A1309/A10 Trumpington Road, or at Junction 12 for the A1134 Barton Road and Queen's Road; then proceed to the City Centre for parking as appropriate.

Parking
The main College car park is at Harvey Court (view map), West Road, off Queen's Road, on the other side of the river (8 minutes walk). Parking is mainly restricted to current members of College staff, but visitors may park here by prior arrangement, subject to availability of space. Otherwise, the nearest public car park is at Lion Yard (5 minutes walk).

Arriving by Rail

Direct trains run to Cambridge from both London King's Cross and London Liverpool Street at half-hourly intervals (National Rail Enquiries http://www.rail.co.uk).

The rail station is about 1½ miles from the centre of town; access to the city centre is either by bus (Citi 1 or Citi 3 services every ten minutes until 2000 hours, then half-hourly to 2300 hours) or taxi from the rank adjacent to the main station entrance.

Arriving by Coach

National coaches stop at Drummer Street Bus Station in the city centre, ten minutes walk from Caius.

Arriving by Air

Jetlink run hourly bus services to and from Stansted, Luton, Heathrow and Gatwick airports and Drummer Street Bus Station in Cambridge (timetables for services 757, 787 and 797 can be obtained from http://www.gobycoach.com). There is also an hourly train service between Stansted and Cambridge (National Rail Enquiries http://www.rail.co.uk).
