Where?

Commonly referred to as Caius (pronounced Keys), Gonville and Caius College is at the centre of University life in Cambridge. Our College is situated in the very centre of town - moments away from the market square, a few minutes' walk from the University Library and ideally placed for all the University faculties.

Who?

More than 500 undergraduates, over 250 graduate students, 100 Fellows (supervisors, lecturers and researchers) and almost 200 staff. The College community plays a significant role throughout the University. Students come from all over the world and undergraduates study all the subjects offered in the University. Our Fellows have globally renowned expertise ranging from Ancient History to Cosmology and are all recognised as leaders in their own fields.

When?

Caius buzzes with life during the 24 weeks of Full Term. This is when the undergraduates are "in residence". The College is quieter, but no less purposeful, during the rest of the year when, as well as continuing our academic and research work, we manage the development of the College and host conference groups from all over the world.

How?

The College has exceptional facilities: beautiful buildings around the "Old Courts" in the city centre, as well as extensive gardens just over the river at Harvey Court. The College is equipped with excellent modern resources, including an outstanding library, 60 computers for student use, and a computer network covering over half of student rooms. But, most importantly, the people of Caius have a spirit of endeavour and excellence which are as relevant today as when the College was first founded nearly 700 years ago.
