Many of our Fellows have globally renowned reputations, and twenty three fellows have been elected as members of the Royal Society or British Academy.

Nobel Prizes have been awarded to eleven members of Caius (Caians): Max Born, James Chadwick, Francis Crick, Howard Florey, Antony Hewish, John Hicks, Neville Mott, Joseph Stiglitz, Charles Sherrington, Richard Stone and Milton Friedman.

Former well-known Caians include William Harvey, John Venn, Harold Abrahams, Ronald Fisher and Edward Wilson.

Our students have consistently achieved highly in Tripos, achieving second place in the Tompkins Table for 2005, a ranking based on examination performance across the Cambridge Colleges.
